易混形容词和副词辨析

alone 与lonely的意义相近，alone表示“独自一人”的状态，而lonely表示“孤单；寂寞”的情绪。
1）alone作形容词用时，只作表语。比如：
But the children are not alone.
结构分析：But是连接词，表示转折，the children是名词词组，作主语，are not是系动词词组，alone是形容语，作表语。
He will be alone from now on.
结构分析：He是主语，will be是系动词词组，alone是形容词，作表语，from now on是时间状语。
2）alone也可以用作副词，修饰动词。比如：
She was sitting in the bed alone when we went to see her.
结构分析：She是主语，was sitting是谓语，过去进行时（was是is的过去式，在这里was起助动词的作用，是没有意思的），in the bed是介词词组，作地点状语，alone是副词，作状语，修饰谓语动词，when引导时间状语从句，we是主语，went是谓语，过去一般时，to see her是动词不定式词组，作状语。
3）lonely一般只用作形容词。比如：
So we never feel lonely.
结构分析：So是连接词，we是主语，never feel是系动词词组，现在一般时，lonely是形容词，作表语。
Robert is a very lonely traveller.
结构分析：Robert是主语，is是系动词，现在一般时，a very lonely traveller是名词词组，作表语。a不定冠词(作前置定语)+very lonely形容词词组(作前置定语)+traveller名词=名词词组。very副词+lonely形容词=形容词词组
